The Spark of Adventure
With a passion for adventure and deep love of tequila, Costa Tequila founder Stephen Gavula III made his first trip to Jalisco, Mexico in 2016. What started as curiosity became a calling. After spending years visiting agave fields and touring distilleries, Steve developed a deep relationship with master distiller Ingeniero Agustin Sanchez and his team.
Over the years, we have come together as a family from all walks of life to create spirits that are truly exceptional. We believe that if we get this right, our customers will be with us until the very end.

Steve had a belief that tequila could be made for a greater audience without sacrificing or masking its natural components. He envisioned something revolutionary: a tequila that honored tradition while breaking boundaries, that could appeal to both connoisseurs and newcomers alike.
