Our Process

CREATING THE WORLD'S FIRST HI/LO BLEND OF TEQUILA

the process starts by sourcing our 100% blue weber agaves from two distinct locations

PIÑA SELECTION

LOS ALTOS - THE HIGHLANDS
This mountainous region provides a softer, fruitier, and floral agave. These characteristics are represented in the initial aroma and taste of our tequila.

PRODUCTION

After proper harvesting by our outstanding jimadors, the 50/50 blend of agave hearts (piñas) from both regions are cooked in centuries old brick ovens (hornos) for 55 hours. The slow cooking softens the agave fibers and allows for proper sugar extraction during the milling process. Yeast is then added to a slow fermentation cycle which can last from 2 to 3 days.

The length of this process results in a more full bodied tequila.

Costa Tequila is distilled twice in large copper pots creating an exquisite natural spirit. Our master distiller, Ingeniero Agustin Sanchez, and his dedicated team look after this entire process creating our award-winning tequila.

CAFÉ & BLANCO

Café is a unique blend of premium blanco tequila and 100% Mexican coffee, featuring rich coffee flavors with caramel and vanilla notes. With 35% ABV, it can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in coffee cocktails.

Blanco is the brand's first creation, unaged before bottling. Its silky texture and smooth finish make it perfect for sipping, while also pairing well with tequila cocktails. It embodies the HI/LO™ blend essence.

REPOSADO

Aged for eight months in American Oak Barrels, this award-winning tequila has hints of caramel and vanilla with a subtle peppery finish. Its balanced and more complex flavor profile makes our signature HI/LO™ blend truly memorable.

Aged for 16 months in American white Oak Barrels, our Añejo is a truly balanced product. It boasts an aroma of pure agave and notes of roasted hazelnut, caramel, vanilla, and brown sugar. This expression can be best experienced neat or on the rocks.
